Elementary School in Village Bhalaswa Isapur, Saharanpur(UP)
Trust started the first elementary school in year 2002-2003 with 60 students in the ancestral house of the founders. In year 2007, the number of students increased to 240 and the school building was expanded to accommodate the new students. As there was no other school in the village for the students to continue their education after elementary, the school was advanced to Junior High School and a certification and recognitions from Anglo-Indian school authority (Education Department- State Govt. UP.) was obtained. The school building is sufficient for 240 students.
Special features of the school:
- Buildings with proper ventilation, solar light, electric generator, and fresh water supply
- Classrooms equipped with TV/video, overhead projector, electric fans, and furniture
- Two school mini buses to bring students from the nearby villages
- 10 qualified teachers to provide quality education
- School curriculum based on highly rated NCERT books
- Use of computers and audio-visual learning aids to make lessons more effective and interesting
- Special emphasis on girl’s education
- Morning prayer and yoga classes of children are regular feature of the school program
- Free health check every 4 months for all students. Polio Vaccination program is carried out by health department in the school periodically
- Students celebrate Van Mahotsav on 30th August ever year and teachers inspire them to plant different types of plants in their own fields and backyards
- School organizes student rallies and cultural programs in the village during National festivals such as Independence Day on 15th Aug., the Republic day on 26th January, Gandhi Janti on 2nd Oct., Children’s day on 14th Nov. and Teachers day on 5th Sept. Parents are encouraged to participate in all cultural activities
- Children also celebrate annual day every year and participate in sporting events or dance and drama
